First Presbyterian Youth 
The youth of the Pineville Presbyterian Church are a very active and diverse group. Activities have included putting together school kits in conjunction with Church World Service. Taking up a special change offering on Sunday mornings, "Change for Change", donating to various causes to help make a change in people lives. Music has been a big part of the kids study, we have done Rainbow bells and recorders. We have had Youth Sunday when the youth "take over" the service and present a program to the congregation. Our church here in Pineville is very musical, we sing , have 2 saxophone players, a trumpet, a pianist, and also an organist. Our Pastor Jim Woodring, is a "music person" and he will find a way to get everyone involved musically as much possible. We also have a scholarship program in our music department where students can sing or play instruments and earn money for college.
We always have participated in a local "Repair Affair" which is a work day where we help elderly people and low income homeowners in our community repair their homes. We have painted, built porches, and even done some plumbing. It is a way we have found to give back to our community and make it a better place. It also gives us a chance to fellowship.
